Deconstructing Neurelitism is the emancipatory praxes (Autistic self-advocacy and human rights activism) blog of Subtext, one of the 23 websites and 25 domains maintained by Mark A. Foster, Ph.D., the founding organizer of The Collective to Fight Neurelitism. See the Byline page for additional information.

The neo-Marxian framework for this blog is discussed on the website of The Institute for Emancipatory Constructionism (operated by Dr. Foster). Emancipatory Constructionism belongs to a more general critical sociological perspective called new critical theory and postmodern critical theory.

New critical theory recontextualizes critical social theory within postmodernism, poststructuralism, social constructionism, etc. It also overlaps, to varying degrees, with critical postmodernism, post-Marxism, and cultural sociology. As with the latter area of study, new critical theory expresses the impact of "the cultural turn" on social theory.

This blog is principally concerned with United Nations values of human rights and social justice, particularly their applications to the social and economic development of the autistic community. Social justice is defined here as emancipation through the dismantling of systemic hegemonies of power elites. Dr. Foster's other blog, focusing on more general issues, can be found at this location.
